5 stars because it really was a book I could not put down, but it was so bad, you guys. So bad. If Jim Butcher and J.K.Rowling and Stephenie Meyer all got really really drunk and had a baby, and that baby got really drunk and wrote a book, it would be this book.It's got everything you might want in a ridiculous summer read: super power magic, yet no way to solve obvious problems, overly dramatic female character constantly having illogical, emotional outbursts and body image issues, overly romantic relationship with a quasi-abusive man (she just loves it when he calls her "stupid" in that loving way and threatens to kill himself to save the relationship - it's so endearing, right ladies?), not the mention the completely unnecessary harem of muscly young men and brutal (and I mean brutal) torture scenes.
I cannot wait to get my hands on the next one!

What a wonderful story, loved the character's, so many twists and turns....I was not able to put this book down, you never knew quite what would happen next. I received this book from on Thursday (8-9-2012) and started reading it almost immediately, I just finished reading this book (8-11-2012), and am wanting to read more about these character's and the continuation of this story in the next volume. Every page left you with wanting to read the next and there are 488 page's. I am looking forward to the next Volume.
Fantastic book and easy read a very enjoyable even Ellen DeGeneres should read this LS Gagnon knows how to write readers so of all ages interested
I read almost 200 books per annum and I must say I was pleasantly surprised with its originality. Even more wonderful is, it did not get boring anywhere, nor lose my interest. I read it in a day! Kudos to this L.S. Gagnon. I hope the next is just as intriguing!
A book that you won't want to put down. You can't go to sleep until a chapter ends, and the next day you want to ignore what needs to be done so that you can start the next chapter. I was crushed when the story abruptly ended, only wanting to get my hands on the next book. Don't pick up this book unless your ready to be enchanted.
If you like the twilight series you'll probably like this. Well developed book with intriguing story line. The love story which is an integral part of the book was a bit too much for me (a forty something year old guy) but would be fine for others of a different age and sex. That being said, based on the story line and writing this could be one of those crazy popular books despite my 4 star rather than 5 star rating. Just to be fair the twilight series only gets 3 stars from me and I hear a few people like those books.
Not having read the preview too closely I was not expecting the change of events. There were many grammatical errors in the beginning so I had no reason to believe that this would be more. Therefor I am glad I persisted in reading this book because I would have missed out on an exciting story!
Half wizard and half witch, Thea once had very powerful magic. But something so horrific happened, that she had her best witch friend errase her memories and she encased half of her powers in a crystal. Now her memories are returning, and she finds that she is in love and has a husband James, who is also a witch. Her best friend Delia and Thea's Boys have been shielding and protecting her. There is a bad wizard that is trying to get control of her powers. He has tortured her in the past and will torture her again to get what he wants. Clashes between good and evil, love and hate, father and son. Cliffhanger ending.
